Broken You, Broken Me, Broken Us

Author Name: Rhea Gaddam | Format: Paperback | Genre : Children & Young Adult | Other Details

It's not a book. It's more than a book. It's not just a bunch of letters and words collected together and put together to form a booklet of pages. It's more than that. It's personal, not just to me but rather to everyone. It's a collection of thoughts, emotions, feelings, imaginations, perspectives, and more over a beautiful love story. These are a collection of stories that everyone has felt but, may have found it hard to express to others. These short stories are not for you to remember your past and sob. It's for you to understand that there are many other people who are going through the same thing with you and to reassure you that you are not alone. These short stories ideally want to make you realise that you have really moved on from the past and that you are entering into a more beautiful world with so many more things to offer. All these stories revolve around the perspective of one individual and her feelings and thoughts on the most common thoughts and imaginations of this generation. Sad stories never stop, we just have to erase them and rewrite happy stories, and the series of stories which lead to this realization are the short stories present in this book.

Rhea Gaddam

Rhea Gaddam is a 16-year-old girl who always has a pen and paper in her hand jotting down everything she hears, sees, and even imagines. She truly believes that living in a world of our imaginations in our heads is the most therapeutic way of getting over anything and everything in your life. Everyone has their own way of overcoming small hurdles in their life and this is my way. She's a person who loves to make fake scenarios up in their head and act like it's true until reality hits. She wrote this book not with the intention to publish it but as a text to remind me what life I really like. She loves to do that and that's just me.

I wish everything in my life were a fairytale or a Romeo-Juliet play or a silent book of feelings and thoughts. As indecisive as I may be, I’ve always lived with a desire to write down my thoughts and my emotions and give them to my friends whoever needs someone. Now, I live with the desire to publish my thoughts and emotions to a more significant number of people and make my voice heard. This book is not just about what I imagined the world to be but what I believe many people feel in the generation we live in today.

More than anything, I prioritize the people in my life, because I believe that there is nothing more important than the relationships we share in the generation we live in today. I will always prioritize my family, friends, and the people around me before anyone else, because that's just who I am as a human being, and through my words you’ll understand who I am better not just as an author but also as a friend, sister, daughter, author and a lover.
